About the Team:  Our End-to-End Incident Management (EEIM) program is focused on delivering a comprehensive platform for identifying customers impacted by incidents on various AT&T networks and distribution of targeted notifications for resolution utilizing machine learning. The platform has a proven track record for generating better models and predictions in reducing unnecessary dispatches, while improving customer notifications. Accuracy of data and the daily generation of the EEIM topology (with correct data) is directly related to program savings. We are eager to onboard a Professional Release Train Engineer to the program!

About the Job:  We are looking for a Professional Release Train Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment. This position will be responsible for leading the End-to-End Incident Management Agile Release Train (ART).  The ideal candidate is multi-talented across several fields, such as business, software engineering, release management, program management with a good understanding of overall business context, and great communication skills. The Professional Release Train Engineer will need to be a tech savvy self-starter, able to lead, manage, drive and advocate for large complex tech ops programs, key initiatives and will provide a centralized source of coordination across internal and external teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist scrum teams in delivering value, identify cross-team dependencies and economic decision making by rolling up team estimation to the program level for visibility.
  • Foster continuous improvements via Inspect and Adapt Workshops and regularly review program boards, feature/story burndowns and burn ups to understand PI progress.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, escalate and remove impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.
  • Single point of contact for the Product Owners and Project Manager and the point of escalation for the Scrum Master.
  • Establish annual calendars for Program Increments and sprints, facilitate release planning readiness including support of backlog management, event coordination and leadership.
  • Lead PI Planning sessions, working with Product Owners to prioritize features and manage backlog.
  • Assist Data Analytics personnel in identifying appropriate data sources and optimizing feature delivery via agile approach.
  • Attention to detail combined with the ability to understand the “big picture” with creative thinking

Required Experience: 

  • Bachelor's in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, from an accredited college, university or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience with complex technology initiatives involving data analysis, software engineering and program management
  • 2+ years of experience in large Technology Organizations working in SAFe/Agile methodology
  • Experience managing large scale cross-functional initiative and programs and release management
  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
  • Deep understanding of Agile software development and Scaled Agile framework
  • Ability to communicate technical information and work across external teams.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with demonstrated skill in managing expectations, providing proactive status updates, and producing high-quality work product
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated and a genuine desire to learn new skills

Preferred Experience:

  • SAFe Certifications: Agilist, Product Owner/Product Manager, or Scrum Master
  • Nanodegree in Business or Data Analytics disciplines
  • Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) to develop dashboards and reports
