Opportunity Overview:
The Operating Room RN provides clinical care and uses coordination skills for every patient served. This includes an understanding of the expected patients served in the unit'(s) nursing care is delivered using the Eskenazi Health Model of Care-Synergy, the ability to coordinate with the patient and family/loved ones and other healthcare disciplines to ensure care is appropriate to meet patient care needs. Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health's mission: Advocate, Care, Teach, and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County; models Eskenazi Health values.

What You Can Expect:
Eskenazi Health is a Level 1 trauma center which means that we have a high acuity and multiple service lines. Therefore, you can anticipate learning about several different specialties within the perioperative world including: orthopedics, plastics, thoracics, neurosurgery, ortho/spine, gender affirmation surgeries,laparoscopic surgery, general surgery, trauma, and more!
Am I Qualified:
Active Indiana RN license
Minimum of one year clinical nursing experience as an RN in a similar setting (Operating Room, PACU, Same Day Surgery, etc) preferred
Current ACLS certification preferred; may be obtained after hire
Current BLS certification
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college/university preferred; must obtain within 5 years of hire
Response time for call shifts is 30 minutes (MUST live within 30 minutes of Eskenazi Health Main Campus)
Scheduling:
We currently have openings for full time, part-time, and PRN opportunities. The majority of positions are full-time, weekdays with call requirements. These shifts are typically in 12-hour blocks, but on occasion can be offered in 8 or 10-hour increments.
