Job Description Summary:
Venmo is continuously innovating and launching new products that make Venmo the wallet of choice to all users. Our goal is to simplify payments and enable secure & fun experiences. We are continuously launching new products to meet these objectives, including the Venmo Credit Card, Direct Deposit, Crypto, and more!

The Head of App Powered Commerce is responsible for the P&L, revenue growth & business execution of our new product lines, Venmo Business Profiles and Goods and Services/ Protections. This includes working with Product, Finance, Marketing, Risk, Operations, Sales, and Data Analytics to ensure successful adoption, performance, and scale of Venmo Business Profiles and Goods and Services. You will heavily rely on data, market research and user feedback to identify the growing needs of the business and help prioritize initiatives to address those needs. The ideal candidate has experience leading a multi-million dollar business or product as well as leading a team to achieve success quarter after quarter.

Job Description:



  • Own & drive the business for Venmo Business Profiles and Goods and Services/ Protections to meet and exceed goals, including user adoption and revenue

  • Monitor key performance metrics & translate into actionable plans to drive performance

  • Work across the organization to drive key strategic initiatives, including go-to-market, lifecycle marketing, product roadmap, etc

  • Lead a small but mighty team with a positive and collaborative approach to win in the market


  • Work with various teams to define the strategy to grow Venmo Business Profiles and Goods and Services/ Protections, including resource allocation, new product lines, feature set requirements, and go-to-market strategy

  • Size new opportunities to determine potential for revenue generation & adoption and work with leadership & product on prioritization

  • Establish ongoing competitive/ industry assessments to identify product/ experience opportunities

  • Work with product, marketing, and tech teams to drive innovation aimed at improving customer experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience managing a multi-million dollar business or product

  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in complex environments (e.g., across product lines, geographies, pricing levers etc)

  • Proven track record of owning & executing on large cross functional initiatives, projects or products and delivering results

  • Ability to leverage analytics to drive sound decision-making

  • Exceptionally strong communication skills, including experience effectively communicating with senior management

  • Experience managing high performing team

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of leadership experience and leading a multi-million dollar business or product line

  • Experience in Payments industry and/ or technology

  • Experience working in high-growth, performance-focused environments

  • Innovative, self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of dealing with complex interpersonal dynamics
