Prepares labels and adheres them to residents' personal clothing items. Completes and files clothing inventory sheets for residents. Returns marked clothing to resident's room.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Prepares labels and adheres them to residents' personal clothing items. Completes and files clothing inventory sheets for residents. Returns marked clothing to residents' room.
Picks up soiled laundry from residents. Sorts, washes, folds, irons, mends, and hangs residents' personal laundry and according to established procedures. Delivers clean personal laundry to residents' rooms. Removes tattered residents' clothing after checking with the resident or family member.
Picks up soiled linens from wings and dining room. Sorts, washes, dries, and folds and returns linens to designated areas. Removes worn and torn linens. Notifies supervisor of need for new linens.
Preforms tasks in association with operating the following equipment: washers, dyers, irons, steamers, folders, and sewing machines. Performs routine cleaning of equipment.
Monitors supplies and notifies supervisor when low.
Performs other duties as assigned.
