Cedar Point is seeking a Dynamic, High-Energy Vice President of Maintenance and Construction who will serve as a strategic leader for the entire Cedar Point Resort portfolio! The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals and staff to plan, strategize and manage enhancements to carry on the legacy of an iconic destination!
This Senior level Executive will have 10-15 years’ experience in large-scale project management and facility management that includes design, construction, facilities, and grounds maintenance. Functioning as a strategic business partner to all Cedar Point Divisions and properties as well as Cedar Fair Corporate Headquarters, this Leader will work in cooperation to frame, prepare and lead capital projects on-going, achieving precise timelines and budget requirements.
How You'll Make A Difference:
Develop and implement strategies to ensure achievement of park designated Cedar Point Resort defined Guest Experience revenue, profit, and budget goals
Lead, Design and Guide a pipeline of diverse projects, recommending and tracking needed resources, dollars, and infrastructure
Collaborate in the planning and development of major capital project execution and manage annual capital plans. Partner Leadership and Operations to define, implement and maintain a brand standard and quality standard for all projects
Develop a series of metrics and key performance indicators to measure performance of the portfolio and ensure regular assessments to measure the effectiveness of maintenance programs and proactively identify areas for improvement and investment.
Lead, retain and coach a direct staff of six Leaders
Manage the productivity and performance of an indirect staff of 250+ employees
Role model and support a culture that represents company values to include compassion, accountability, respect, effort, safety, service and integrity.
Act as Cedar Point’s representative and liaison with all outside agencies, community leaders, manufacturers, vendors and state and county administrators
In partnership with Human Resources, manage, negotiate, and administer five various trade agreements
We're Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Business required
A strong reputation and track record of building and maintaining relationships with architects, engineers, government entities and community leaders
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
10+ years’ experience in the following areas:
Managing large-scale construction projects.
Managing maintenance and construction teams.
Role bidding and negotiating for construction projects.
Creation and management of construction documents, budgets, and infrastructure.
Conducting financial analysis, budgeting, and planning for construction projects
