Responsibilities The Marketing & Publications Coordinator serves as the graphic designer and principal writer for FSU Panama City within the Office of Advancement. The responsibilities include developing, writing, designing, and producing all campus print and digital publications, marketing, and media, including all aspects of project management, from design/layout concepts, editing/proofing, securing print quotes, managing production and distribution. This position supports various areas on campus: Donor/alumni engagement and events, Panama City's Torch magazine, Faculty, outreach programs such as STEM, OLLI, and IBM Skills Academy, Student Affairs, the Dean's Office, and campus brand awareness and marketing including billboards, digital ads, photography, social media, website design, campus banners, graphic artwork, and signage. This position also supports Enrollment Management and Student Success as principal designer, writer, and editor of FSU Panama City's student profile and recruitment marketing, print and digital publications including brochures, posters, banners, admissions packets, academic program sheets, postcards, event promos, and yard signs. The Marketing & Publications Coordinator assists the Director of Advancement with FSU Panama City marketing initiatives by designing content and identifying student talent, securing photography/videography and production services as necessary, and assists in the event marketing, planning, and implementation. Serves on special committees established by the Dean/Assoc. Dean for special tasks, performs duties as requested that promote or enhance FSU Panama City projects, initiatives, or activities.Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience.(Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)Ability to perform accurately in a detail oriented environment.Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Experience with applicable computer applications and basic computer functions, including Microsoft Office Excel and Word.Ability to plan, implement, and direct photography, graphics, and audio/visual associated operations.Ability to develop and implement a successful marketing plan/strategy.Knowledge of current media technology and trends.Ability to communicate effective verbally and in writing. Preferred Ability to demonstrate advanced writing and graphic design skills.Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative SuiteKnowledge of social media platforms, practices, design, and scheduling
