Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for ensuring all inbound freight units are verified and put to shelf each day. Any resulting discrepancies are verified for accuracy and training opportunities before being submitted to Operations before end of day for next action

  • Primary contact with freight carries regarding damaged or missing freight units. Must ensure accuracy of BOL at time receiving material to loading dock and document any discrepancies before signing for material

  • Responsible for keeping the Warehouse In Process/Status queues clear and compliant with End of Month guidelines

  • Primary responder and problem solver for all receiving emails, with a response rate of ~30 minutes

  • Complete weekly performance reviews of Associates using data driven metrics

  • Actively engaged within warehouse, providing on call mentorship and problem solving for Associates

  • Lead by example an effective and efficient team, with an emphasis on positively motivating, training, and uplifting of Associates

  • Maintain and cultivate a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing safety policies and guidelines

  • Primary backup to Warehouse Lead – Receiving Parcels. Must collaborate with parcels lead to ensure all core receiving functions are completed each day and flex labor across department and to central warehouse once queues are cleared

  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications & Expectations:

  • Clear and concise communication skills

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Fluent in North Coast warehouse and system processes

  • Self-starter, team player with the ability to lead others with a quality focus

  • Previous warehouse experience

  • Committed to 100% accuracy and doing tasks right the first time (DIRTFT)

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Willingness and desire to improve knowledge and skill level of self and others


Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Repetitive lifting and pulling of heavy objects (50+ lbs.)

  • Forklift and stock picker use

  • Warehouse environment

  • Frequent use of computer terminal and RF scanner

  • Usual 40 hour work-week Monday through Friday however based on business needs evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required

  • Requires regular and reliable on-site attendance
