We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team!

Responsibilities

In this position you will analyze our Transportation network for inbound supplier shipments, outbound deliveries to both internal and external customers, reverse logistics and backhaul opportunities, stock transfers and internal replenishment. You will collaborate with Logistics, Operations, Supply and Demand Planning, Sales and IT technical support to optimize the transportation network, increase service levels, reduce cost and improve sustainability.

This position will encompass broad exposure to various network planning teams, delivery performance, procurement, financial, and IT teams within Advanced Drainage Systems. An ideal candidate for this position will be a person who is adept at pulling and analyzing data to construct root causes and implementing long-term solutions that encompasses current and future driver and equipment requirements that align with our growth initiatives, as well as identifying efficiencies that provide cost and service improvements in accordance with Strategy Deployment initiatives. You must have the ability to effectively communicate to internal and external team members, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to lead and implement large programs across the Logistics organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Build cross-functional teams on the design, development, and delivery of key programs and initiatives, network delivery models, metrics, reports, technical advancements, and analyses to drive service, cost, sustainability, and quality initiatives within the Logistics group.

  • Aid with the development of future Logistics strategy and work with senior business leaders on scaling and leveraging transportation solutions.

  • Analyze and solve operational barriers with a focus on understanding A3 root causes and driving forward opportunities

  • Develop initiatives to drive improved freight optimization that includes but is not limited to payload improvements, MPG improvements, reduction of empty miles and increased fuel program compliance.

  • Aid in leading Strategy Deployment initiatives and ensure alignment across all team members.

  • Identify appropriate performance metrics for each initiative and ensure consistent measurement and accountability.

  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office

Educational Requirements:

College degree required – business preferred. Master’s degree a plus

Preferred Experience:

10 to 15 years in field, 3 to 5 in related industry, willing to travel 50%+, demonstrated experience managing decentralized locations and multiple strategic projects
