Technical position responsible for the development of Model based Software. Responsible to deliver integrated software according to system specifications, develop software specifications, software structure and implementation in line with functional requirements and the safety plan.


  • Implements given requirements into software components using Model Based design technique for new hybrid drivetrain Innovation projects

  • Interfaces with controls and systems engineering for integration of software changes and official releases following a formal process

  • Defines embedded software architecture on different platforms for new hybrid drivetrain Innovation projects

  • Defines test concept for the verification of the implemented software

  • Reviews progress of projects and provides frequent team progress updates to direct manager

  • Contributes to Safety Assessments (in line with Homologation/Directives/Liability Laws)

  • Contributes to Functional Safety in relevant software functions in accordance to ISO25119 and other electrification standards

  • Develops target technologies to ensure efficient and timely completion of specific project milestones.

  • Ensures the use of engineering standards, methodologies, and global product development processes into engineering team's daily work.

  • Interfaces with Electrification Technology engineering team for HV/LV integration.

  • Embraces Innovation mindset to promote and encourage new technology and is creative


The Qualified Candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or another relevant discipline.

  • 3+ years of experience in software development

  • 3+ years of experience in the specification and design of embedded software for electrified powertrains or electro-hydraulic systems as used in the AG and CE applications

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of time

The Preferred Candidate will have:

  • Experience on microcontrollers

  • Experience with the following applications: TARGET LINK, MATLAB/SIMULINK, MULTI Compiler, EDE, ETAS INC

  • Experience with online vehicle calibration (Control Desk, INCA, Vector tools etc.)

  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR SW architecture, and relevant ICC levels.

  • Understanding of Matlab and latest generation software development methods and approaches

  • Understanding of Model Based Control Design Engineering

  • Understanding of Virtual prototyping MIL / SIL / HIL principles

  • Understanding of programming C(++) code, and structured software programming

  • Design and development experience in software development knowing the Infineon, Freescale, and Fujitsu MCU

  • Knowledge in different communication protocols (J1939-14, J1939-15, J1939-73, UDS, SPI, ecc...)

  • Knowledge in CAN based systems and CAN tools

  • Experience leading and working in multi-location teams

  • Agricultural or Construction Equipment background or relevant experience in off road machinery engineering.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Able to work under minimal supervision, with the ability to recognize issues that need to be escalated

  • Shows good technical leadership and organization/control skills

  • Ability to work with tight deadline and under pressure
