The Supply Chain Planning Manager will manage Supply Chain Planning information, systems and employees responsible for external material planning. Leads efforts to develop and implement world-class strategies in support of business objectives. Involved in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures designed to assist the company in obtaining materials and services from external suppliers in consideration of standards for quality, working capital and service.
Manages External Material Planning Staff to achieve corporate goals, ensures sufficient procurement and planning of raw materials and packaged finished goods. Provides regular feedback to employees and monitors employee performance against job requirements, metrics, and business rules.
In cooperation with Sourcing, SI&OP Management, and Operations develop and implement short, mid, and long-range supply plans for components, material, and finished goods needed to support the sales plans.
Provides guidance to management to assure optimum utilization of supply chain resources to meet customer needs and provides communication regarding interruptions and service issues to key stakeholders.
Monitors key performance indicators and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
Manages external inventory strategies and buffers to ensure service to the Supply Chain and manages product flow/optimization strategies to ensure highest profit and service opportunities.
Oversee effective use of corporate ERP system to achieve cost, inventory, and customer service objectives.
Supports business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, and network redesigns.
Acts as a liaison for Oral Care to the larger Perrigo Customer Service to provide insights into potential supply gaps.
Foster an environment that promotes organizational goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is required. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience is required.
Required 5 years of plant level experience in materials management, scheduling, purchasing or related disciplines - preferably in consumer products.
Must be able to travel occasionally.
Excellent ability to obtain and analyze data, work cross functionally and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with ability to manage multiple competing tasks and demands.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, SAP, BI (Business Intelligence) or other Supply Planning tools preferred.
SAP Super user is preferred to help drive optimization throughout the supply chain.
Continuous Improvement experience in Lean Materials Management methodologies.
Strong group presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
