Job Description:

The Senior IT/Cyber Auditor, part of the Global Internal Audit team, will be located within the Vertiv Corporation's Headquarters in the Columbus OH area and will gain valuable exposure to many areas within our global business. You will provide valuable IT risk mitigation insights, increase internal control awareness and be a conduit for positive change.

This role is specifically responsible for executing the risk assessment and audit delivery for global Cyber and Information Security audits, including audits of identity and access management; data protection; security incident response; authentication services; insider threats; vulnerability and threat management; and network perimeter defenses.

The role will partner closely with IT Security, Legal, Engineering, and Product teams to offer an independent assessment on control design and effectiveness and providing recommendations to remediate identified risks.


  • Lead or assist in specialized assessment/audits across IT and Cyber Security, inclusive of manufacturing technology, product security, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Complete assessment/audit work papers, review compensating controls, and offer recommendations on risk mitigation within an assessment/audit report.
  • Assist with co-sourced audit projects/relationship with 3rd parties
  • Ensure timely remediation by process owners on prior regulatory and/or internal audit issues through validation procedures
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the annual ITGC SOX audit program
  • Partner with various individuals to share governance, risk, and control knowledge which significantly impacts the company's strategy and execution.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement, automation and third-party tooling that support scalable compliance and audit support functions.
  • Execute audits that are insightful, timely and in accordance with IIA standards.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of three years of IT or cyber security audit experience
  • Understanding of technology risk practices as well as an understanding other regulatory laws and requirements (i.e., NIST, CIS, SANS, COBIT, GDPR, CMMC etc.)
  • Technical abilities in multiple areas (e.g., technology infrastructure and application controls, cyber security, access management, network and cloud, resiliency, etc.)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, sales and service or distribution environments
  • Industry-related certification, such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, etc. (or willing to obtain)
  • Public accounting experience in an IT audit role preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to discuss and summarize complex, technical topics at an executive level
  • Sense of accountability and ownership for the end-to-end audit lifecycle
  • Ability to identify issues and provide actionable recommendations;
  • Ability to jump in, set objectives, and drive results in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
