Position Summary:
This role is integral to the Operations Finance team through the maintenance of standard costs and other datasets that enable visibility in financial business drivers; support of the monthly/quarterly close, forecast, and reporting processes; contributions to process improvement projects; and performing ad-hoc analysis to identify and communicate key business drivers that underpin decision support. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, task management and collaboration skills are required with an ability to perform at a high-level in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide end to end financial close and business partners’ support such as but not limited to work order reviews, headcount planning, financial analysis and forecast, CapEx, monthly reporting, financial modeling and any ad hoc tasks
Prepare and monitor weekly OpEx, variances, volume and absorption scorecard against forecast. Identify any financial accounting risks and take appropriate actions if necessary
Understand and provide deep insights on Madison Manufacturing scorecard and assist business partners to understand financial impact and to improve manufacturing efficiency
Identify, implement, improve and maintain any value-add processes in manufacturing and operations; new product releases, inventory controls, BOM, routings, key performance metrics and automation
Lead and engage with Manufacturing and Supply Chain on Annual Global Cost Roll; BOM, routings review and calculate absorption rate
Lead the maintenance of internal financial control environment ensuring accurate financial statements and safeguarding of company assets
Focal person for Engineering Change Requests (ECR) review, perform product costing support and approval.
Perform and support any other tasks as needed
Requirements:
Understanding of Finance concepts and ability to apply methods
Hands-on experience with SAP is preferred; exposure to Cognos TM1 or other financial planning tool (Hyperion, BPC, etc.) is a plus
Strong Microsoft Excel skills required; Must be comfortable working with and analyzing large data files
Good interpersonal and collaborative skills. Ability to establish rapport and partnerships with others across the organization
Self-starter and able to work well and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Good verbal and written communication and project management skills
Strong attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
Understanding of corporate finance principles: NPV, budgeting processes, forecasting, financial modelling, etc.
Education:
BS or BA in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field
