The Paid Media Coordinator provides tactical support for planning, implementation and analysis of paid media campaigns.  This role will ensure paid media plans are properly executed once negotiated and approved by the team leadership.  This role serves as the internal point person to ensure necessary paperwork and creative assets are properly requested, signed, and delivered. Provides support for post-campaign recaps and analysis to share with leadership to form learnings for future optimization.  This position is open to Ohio, Georgia, and New York.

What you'll do:


  • Provide tactical support and implementation for paid media campaigns across all channels


  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the Creative Services team to request assets and deliverables for paid media campaigns, ensuring requests are clear, approved by management, and in line with the brand and paid campaign goals


  • Coordinate with the Legal and Finance teams to secure necessary signatures for campaign-related paperwork such as insertion orders once negotiated and approved by marketing leadership


  • Partner with Creative and Operations to ensure paid media assets are delivered to the proper partners with traffic instructions and accurate creative elements and spots


  • Specific to digital advertising, provide executional excellence through building, optimizing and maintaining digital campaigns through buying platforms, optimizing and adjusting to improve performance during flight where appropriate


  • Collaborate with the Analytics and other internal teams as needed to implement tracking so that campaigns are set up to report and optimize appropriately at launch


  • Assist with research of audience attributes and size details and gather other information that will inform media planning


  • Coordinate placement of house ads across E.W. Scripps websites, email newsletters and connected TV apps/channels 


  • Other duties as assigned


What you'll bring:

Education & Experience/Certifications


  • College degree or equivalent work experience


  • 3+ years of experience in online marketing, preferable in the video or media industry


Skills & Abilities


  • Passionate about brand marketing across a broad array of media outlets including digital, social, out-of-home and television advertising 


  • Ability to work within content management systems, Web analytics systems, email campaign management systems and social media management platforms


  • Hands-on experience managing marketing campaigns via advertising networks and/or advertising outlets such as social, digital/web, TV, out-of-home, and audio


  • Thorough knowledge of Google Analytics and other common analytics tools


  • Intermediate-to-advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets


  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written


  • Strong interpersonal skills combined with high motivation and passion for your work


  • Self-motivated to tackle new initiatives with a can-do attitude


  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously


  • High attention to detail


  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to complete multiple simultaneous projects
