SUMMARY

Forecasts and reports monthly, quarterly, and annual results of a Workcell.  Focus is on forecasts, but also assists in actual preparation as needed to understand results to forecast and support month-end close.  Subject Matter Expert in resolution of business and financial issues for Business Development and Operations Management. Works under informal supervision with output monitored periodically by Controller.  Errors can cause serious and far-ranging delay, expense and disruption.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Forecast

    • Drives and assists in all forecasting activities including:

      • Scheduling and driving forecast reviews with BU and Ops (i.e. Revenue projections; IL/DL Meeting; BU Forecast Reviews; etc.)

      • Preparing and updating templates and files as necessary to prep for forecasting process (i.e. creating benefits file; depreciation file; revenue projections file; IL/DL headcount file; TM1 templates preparation; etc.)

      • Working with BU and Ops to update final forecasts (i.e. Rate calculations; Capex Entry; Lease input; calculate Flexline, Material Handling, & SGA; update balance sheet days – AR, AP, DII.



    • Reviews forecasts for accuracy compared to BU/Ops expectations, and compared to historical.

    • Prepares departmental, Workcell and plant level Variance-to-Forecast reports

    • Serves as a recognized resource for Business Development and Operations Management in dissecting financial and business issues, identifying root cause and driving corrective action


  • Month-end

    • Preparing and updating templates and files as necessary to prep for Month-end close (i.e. Salary file; DL file; Square Footage files; combining weekly payroll reports; DII; Workcell Shell; Margin Analysis; CILO file; TM1 Allocation; etc.)

    • Posting Key accruals (i.e. Temp Bills; Freight; Duty/Tariffs; etc.)

    • Misc. reclasses between cost centers (i.e. Outbound Freight, Building Allocations, etc.)

    • Updating Margin Analysis File

    • Misc. Cost Center review and adjustments

    • Managing and executing staffing splits and charge outs

    • Managing and executing intercompany charge outs

    • Running TM1 allocations

    • Creating Functional and Workcell Variance files for review and update by teams

    • Misc. Month-end close reporting


  • Misc.

    • Compiles JOS review files and drives weekly finance JOS meeting with plant management (BU/Ops)

    • Customer setup/update

    • Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting OR equivalent education and training required.

Minimum of six years of relevant professional experience required, including at least two years experience in a lead role preferred.

Solid understanding of accounting principles

Advanced reading, writing and math skills required (i.e., 12th grade level)

Advanced PC skills (i.e., keyboarding skills, function key usage, advanced mouse usage, opening, closing, moving, and deleting programs, folders and files using MS Windows)

Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving and self-editing skills.

Can: Adapt Quickly, Work with Multiple Deliverables, Work under pressure, Work under Strict Time Deadlines

Advanced Excel skills

SAP Experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Individual may be required to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time

Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. occasionally required
