Role Summary:

As a critical role within our Care Coordination Operational Reporting & Analytics Team, you will be developing analytical and statistical models and methodologies to predict, classify, quantify, and/or forecast business metrics that help customers make sound business decisions which directly impact our key metrics. You will be responsible for providing the necessary tools based on integrated healthcare data to deliver high quality and cost effective solutions to meet our customer's needs.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Focus is on determining business insights and challenges, prototype design and development of solutions, delivery of insights and managing insights projects from start to finish.

  • Responsible for the extraction and analysis of health care information regarding network utilization and cost containment and clinical qualityinformation.

  • Evaluates, writes, and presents healthcare utilization, cost containment and clinical quality reports and makes recommendations based on relevant findings to drive the decision-making process and support business operations for internal and external customers in an effort to control medical cost of services provided to members.

  • Manages the production and analysis of medical cost, quality and health-related productivity information used to formulate market and regional network and medical management strategies.

  • Designs and manages studies as requested by internal and external clients for purposes of ensuring accreditation, improving health, and analyzing business opportunities and areas for improvement. Assures quality and integrity of data collected, analysis performed, and reports generated.

  • Develops methods for improving internal techniques and processes. Utilizes multiple data systems to accomplish objectives.

  • May oversee a staff of associates whose primary purpose is collecting, analyzing, and communicating health care and business information to internal and external clients.

  • Typically requires BS or Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology or equivalent training and mastery; minimum 5 years' experience in related health care analytics; or any combination of education and experience with one to two years of supervisory experience.

  • Analyze operational and performance data to uncover opportunities for business improvement, utilizing regression and other statistical modeling techniques to conduct data mining as well as to address specific business questions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or Data Science, any other quantitative discipline preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in related health care analytics; or any combination of education and experience with one to two years of supervisory experience.

  • Strong proficiency in data analytics and data mining tools including SQL, SAS, SAS Data Integration Studios, Oracle or similar software.

  • Experience with Tableau, R, and other data visualizations highly desirable.

  • Strong business acumen and willingness to learn Care Solutions workflows.

  • Prior business analysis experience required or related experience

  • Experience extracting and analyzing big data sets

  • Root cause analysis and requirements development experience

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Must like working in highly dynamic, fast paced value driven environments.

  • Communication skills will be critical, ability to articulate complex analysis into simple terms.

  • Strong track of continuous learning desire and intellectual curiosity.

  • Demonstrated passion around customer focus and improving processes that impact customer

  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and establish a high level of credibility across functional and lines of business and organizational levels

  • Proven track record of delivering results of high quality and sustainability

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
