Two Six Technologies is seeking a System Administrator. This candidate will build, maintain and defend the required infrastructure and virtualization systems needed for a project supporting over 100 people. This includes all aspects of infrastructure, from hardware to software, as well as, accounting for the services and systems used to manage the project.
Responsibilities Include:
Provides recommendations and operational requirements for network environment
Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage and retrieval functions
Develops and maintains the virtualization environment used by the team and services
Applies system patches, security patches and third-party updates on Linux servers in order to uphold systems at a high level of performance, availability and security
Design and document baseline (hardened) configurations for computer systems and network equipment.
Balance working closely with developers, software configuration teams, product teams, and customer support teams to ensure a smooth and reliable delivery of code.
Work with teammates to implement the proper solutions for hardware and software requirements that meet customer intent.
Manage, maintain, update all systems in support of software developers and the project.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in network architecture administration and deployment
Minimum of 5 years' experience installing, configuring, and deploying infrastructure systems required to support a development environment in a primarily Linux environment - specifically using Ubuntu and RHEL
Minimum of 3 years Administration of Virtual Environments (AWS, vCenter/ESXi)
Local to Washington D.C. metro or be ability to relocate
Understanding of tools, such as, Ansible, Github, Active Directory, LDAP, and RHEL Satellite, Atlasssian Suite
Nice If You Have:
Secret Clearance
Experience with DevOps and/or Agile
Master's Degree or equivalent experience
SEC + trained
Willing to travel
Flexible and agile team spirit that adapts well to changing priorities
Excellent relationship building skills while maintaining a high level of professionalism
Possess strong project management skills, with attention to detail
TS Clearance w/ SCI Eligibility
