Two Six Technologies is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer. This is not your typical DevOps position where you barely touch code. We are researching new solutions to emulate large-scale networks and systems in our own virtualization cluster, to test IoT security at scale. If problem-solving and creating novel solutions for all aspects of physical and virtual networking, virtualization, emulation, server system deployment, and automated orchestration is appealing to you, we would love to talk to you.

Responsibilities Include:

• Working with the team to deploy automated cyber test ranges using VMware and salt for virtualized devices and physical devices provisioned from our IoT lab.
• Build test automation using GitLab that leverage range deployments to simulate at-scale botnet mitigation campaigns.
• Automate data collection and analysis of range tests including network captures, log retrieval and analysis, and campaign validation.
• Coding in python and salt, using GitLab-ci, and working with low-level networking

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related Scientific Domain
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Linux systems, including on embedded devices and with legacy versions
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Linux KVM, Xen, QEmu
• Minimum of 5 years scripting experience (Bash, Python)
• Ability to manage deployment orchestrations with SALT

• An advanced degree (Masters or Ph D.) in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related Scientific Domain
• Experience working as part of small R&D teams composed of researchers, engineers, and scientists
• Understanding of internet-scale networking concepts including recursive DNS and BGP.
• Experience with internet-scale infrastructure
• Experience with cybersecurity test ranges
• Experience with level 2 and level 3 of OSI model
• Hacking experience on IoT products
• An active DoD security clearance
