Job Description:


Backend Java developer working with a team to maintain and enhance application that process interactions with multiple POS and ERP systems. This position requires the ability to analyze and support existing applications, scripts and interfaces. The position also involves working on complete development life cycle and interaction with internal application teams and server admin teams.

  • Coordinate software programming activities in tandem with other software development team members.

  • Conduct application monitoring and performance tuning

  • Design, develop, implement, test and maintain complete life cycle of IT applications

  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines

  • Perform project management roles and capable of supporting and implementing technology projects as a facilitator and technical knowledge expert

  • Ability to document Standard Operating Procedures for routine data management tasks

  • Given a moderately complex business or technical issue, analyze and determine root cause. Implement short- and long-term resolutions

  • Work effectively in a team environment on all phases of projects. Help identify issues, lead peers to decisions and prepare solutions for short and long term

  • Interface with internal I/T teams to achieve key objectives

  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

  • Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results


  • Bachelors' degree +5 years progressive I/T experience; OR Master's degree +3 years relevant I/T experience

  • Strong programming skills in Java EE

  • Working knowledge of WildFly (JBoss) application server and Spring Boot

  • Backend experience in Oracle Database design, SQL, functions, stored procedures, and packages

  • Experience in a UNIX environment.

  • Uses skills with a full understanding of the industry best practices and established policies and procedures

  • Experience with complete development life cycle

  • Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies

  • Understands the value and contributes to defining compliance and control requirements and documentation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the applications being supported.
