The Ecommerce Product Manager will optimize and enhance the owned ecommerce channels for Inspire Brands, guiding the digital products (e.g., website and apps) through a test and learn process and end-to-end development and production lifecycles.
As a member of a shared service digital center of excellence, the PdM will work cross functionally in partnership with the developers, designers, and product analytics to rapidly identify actionable insights that drive hypotheses for testing opportunities through a strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative performance & behavior data, and prioritize and execute these hypotheses in the test and learn roadmap.
The PdM will partner with product analytics to determine and distill test results to partners, and prioritize implementation and development of optimizations to the platform, defining requirements, scoping level of effort, and managing ceremonies in partnership with engineering to develop data-driven enhancements for Inspire Brands' ecommerce products.
This position requires a strong ability to understand user behavior and ecommerce performance data to provide clear requirements for optimizations. It requires a strong product management background, customer focus, and a passion for technology-enabled features, services, and platforms. It will be a critical role in optimizing digital experiences that drive incremental sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction for Inspire Brands.
Owns the strategic ecommerce optimization & testing roadmap, backlog, documentation, product reporting and KPIs
Responsible for delivering on ecommerce revenue, profit, and conversion targets for Inspire Brand's digital platform through ongoing testing and implementation
Responsible for shaping the ecommerce optimization test and learn strategy in partnership with product analytics and design partners
Partners with product analytics to identify data-driven opportunities for enhancements, continuously experimenting against to platform to drive ongoing conversion growth in the ecommerce funnel
Play a key role in all traditional agile development ceremonies alongside partners and key stakeholders - interpret business needs into product requirements, generate user stories, manage multiple stakeholders to guide product releases, business updates, reporting requirements and value assessments
Consult with key business stakeholders to drive integration of ecommerce functions into existing or new business and operational processes
Be the subject matter expert capable of working across technical and non-technical teams to establish the value and importance for our strategic ecommerce optimizations
Utilize market research, customer feedback, analytics data, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities that ensure ecommerce digital products enable a best-in-class experience for our guests
Balance opportunity/value versus technical and operational constraints when recommending product enhancements or distilling business goals into product requirements
Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
5+ years of modern product management practices, agile methodologies, and test-driven development experience
Experience managing ecommerce product channels, leading cross-functional teams in the delivery of products/services, coordinating development cycles and delivering against release schedules
A proven track record of driving digital innovation and delivering outperformance to stated business goals
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES
Deep understanding of ecommerce business, consumer mindset, digital user experience, digital design frameworks and processes
Strong analytical skills and an ability to lead data-driven discussions to drive alignment around prioritization and impact
Equipped with the digital technical fluency to be capable of understanding technical constraints and prioritizing and discussing tradeoffs between development and business teams
Ability to translate data-driven insights, business intent, customer needs, and/or technical direction into clear, concise, well-documented product requirements
Capable of building partnerships, managing stakeholders, and working collaboratively with cross-functional partners to drive projects to completion and meet shared objectives
Excellent oral and written communication skills - capable of communicating in a way that conveys a clear understanding of the unique needs of widely varying audiences
