Summary:
This position offers technical support to sales staff by displaying knowledge and background in chemical segregation, manifesting, waste profiling, disposal options and approvals, RCRA and DOT regulations compliance. Prepares quotes and serves as the primary customer interface to maintain strong customer relations by communicating information to sales staff, operations personnel and customers. Provides assistance to field personnel and operations staff.

  • Knowledge in environmental technologies


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing preliminary proposals and sales quotations at determined by the specification supplied by the sales personnel, finalize prior to presentation to clients, process sales related quotes and correspondence.


  • Assist in maintaining work schedules for field workforce and advise supervisory staff and sales personnel when on-the-job conflicts arise or when clients have questions pertaining to type of service or invoice inaccuracies.


  • Contact customers on an as-needed basis regarding specific job related requirements, obtaining additional information, and job satisfaction and quality.


  • Continuously track profitability and provide background information for future forecasting to include value, profiles, and associated costs.


  • Maintain the TSR file system to include customer correspondence, waste profiles, and pricing as well as updating customer spreadsheets to maintain current profiles, costs, and all pricing on individual account basis.


  • Identify and track transportation, lab analysis and vendor costs by purchase orders to insure accuracy of billing invoices.


  • May select and obtain new waste profiles with respect to customer preference, technology, cost and facility approval.


  • Evaluate waste streams for possible inclusion under generic approvals.


  • Other work-related duties as assigned.






Education/Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or related discipline or equivalent work experience required
  • 3 to 5 years in the hazardous waste industry preferred.
  • 1 year in an analytical and problem-solving capacity required.
