While adhering to Welk Resort's i-Serve service standards, this position will primarily focus on investigating and analyzing activities and processes and looking to make them more efficient through the use of IT resources (both hardware and software). The BA identifies and articulates the need for change, and facilitates that change. The BA will identify and define the solutions that will maximize the value delivered by an organization to its stakeholders. The BA will work across all levels of an organization and may be involved in everything from defining strategy, to taking a leadership role by defining the goals and requirements for programs and projects or supporting continuous improvement in its technology and processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Independently resolve highly complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs, by applying advanced operational knowledge and process methodologies to the design of processes, models, and/or systems solutions
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Analyzes and defines processes of business/IT both "To Be" and "As Is."
Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation
Proactively work with the technical team to ensure the functional requirements align with business processes and structure
Provide knowledgeable feedback on system functionality and limitations to help guide business understanding
Act as the business process SME during the design, development and testing phases of a project
Coordinate communication, training and related change management activities
Coordinate user acceptance testing of new technology solutions
Help facilitate lessons learned and post project review meetings

Experience or Knowledge Preferred:
Eight plus years as a Senior Business Analyst or related business experience
Experience working in technology
Experience with MS Project or Enterprise wide PPM tool preferred
Experience with MS Office Suite as well as MS SharePoint/Teams
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles and various Software Development Methodologies
Requirements Elicitation experience
Metrics driven approach to measuring success of projects
Effective communication with executive management
Four-year college degree or comparable experience
Excellent leadership skills to direct large groups at varying levels towards common objective and conflict resolution
