Position Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support team and/or department business objectives. Generally, works under limited supervision, but within established guidelines, producing and analyzing more complex business information to assist in the decision-making process.

Specific Job Summary

The Privacy Compliance Analyst, will report to and assist the AVP, Privacy Operations to oversee and enhance the global privacy program (the "program"), and compliance oversight of global privacy laws and regulations. The role maintains an awareness of federal, state, and international privacy laws and standards and applies this knowledge to MVWC business processes and systems including information privacy automation technologies and tools.

The role will support the buildout and maintenance of privacy operations that cover 80+ countries. Operations include range from DSARs, assessments, data mapping, etc. with metrics to proactively enhance the company's global privacy program. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting daily operations, development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures, DPIA's, record of processes, investigations, and tracking of required reporting to promote customer trust through transparency and ensuring customers' rights are upheld. As a representative of the Global Privacy Office, this position will interact with departments globally across the enterprise.

Specific Expected Contributions

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement a suitable and relevant Privacy / Data Protection Policy and ensure it is reviewed on an annual basis.

  • Advise on information good practice and standards related to the organization's overall IT strategy needs, including business continuity requirements, and participate in any future information projects.

  • Advise on and negotiate data privacy issues with third parties. Ensure compliance with all applicable contracts.

  • Provide information and guidance on the processing of all personal data.

  • Process, co-ordinate and respond to all requests for information.

  • Maintain data flow maps as necessary.

  • Maintain the organization's annual notification with the relevant regulators.

  • Administer a process for receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating, and taking action on all complaints concerning the organization's privacy policies and procedures in coordination and collaboration with other similar functions and, when necessary, legal counsel.

  • Assists with performing initial and periodic information privacy risk assessments and conduct related ongoing compliance monitoring activities in coordination with the entity's other compliance and operational assessment functions.

  • Develop methods (processes) and guidance as needed with emphasis on business/function-specific activities and fosters the development of new policies as necessary.

  • Monitor laws, regulations, and contracts associated with the management and control of personal and sensitive data processed within the business / function.

  • Extend privacy expertise to promote understanding and compliance across internal businesses functions and with external stakeholders.

  • Manage emerging privacy events to resolution.

Generally, a professional position with specific knowledge in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology). College degree and/or relevant experience typically required

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 4-6 years' experience working in a professional role.

  • Experience working in a regulated or compliance driven environment

  • Good communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to purvey complex concepts in a simple manner.

  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a small team environment


  • Experience working in a privacy, security, audit, IT related role.

  • Privacy or security certification.
