JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:
Compiles and reviews the assembly mortgage loss mitigation packages for completeness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives inbound loss mitigation packages from customers seeking alternatives to foreclosure.
Coordinates the flow of incoming requests for loss mitigation; assigns requests to Loss Mitigation Coordinator based on workflow and volumes.
Ensures that requests contain required documents with proper signatures, dates, and other relevant data.
Orders appraisals for loss mitigation requests, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
Completes income calculations to determine eligibility of loan modifications.
Completes recommendations for alternatives to foreclosure based upon a review of the customer's hardship.
Inputs data into modification and loss mitigation request database; database includes statistics on approvals, denials and other required tracking metrics.
Responsible for general ledger coding for loss mitigation department.
Assists with mortgage modification documentation preparation; reviews the file to determine if documentation is complete and accurate.
Tracks solicitation follow-up to ensure timely communication.
Performs all other duties/special projects as assigned.
Updates Excel pipeline spreadsheets and loss mitigation tracking systems as required for each individual workout.
Maintains a tracking log of customer appeals, complaints and resolutions.
Assists with ordering of title work from vendors to ensure clear title.
Works with customers on repayment plans and tracks repayment plan performance.
Completes pre-foreclosure reviews and monitors account until assigned to foreclosure department.
Provides guidance and assists with training of Loss Mitigation Processor 1.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2-3 years of related experience and/or training in Loss Mitigation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be detailed oriented and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively

Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions
Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
