SUMMARY:

Keep yarn tied on creels so yarn does not break out or run out.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Keep all yarn tied correctly, on the creels you are assigned to

  • Responsible for loading yarn from warehouse in buggies to be carried out to production floor

  • Responsible for unloading empty cones off of pins and buggy and placing them in the proper container

  • Stack pallet dividers neatly after removing yarn from them & help keep warehouse neat

  • Break down any yarn boxes emptied while loading your buggy & stack them

  • Keep assigned aisles swept & neat in appearance

  • Keep yarn strings off of floor & bottom of creels cleaned off

  • Keep buggy wheels clean & replaced when needed

  • Notify supervisor of any damaged yarn

  • Spray yarn with food coloring when needed

  • Other duties assigned by management are a part of this job description

  • Adhere to company policies, including attendance and punctuality

  • Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner;

  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions including but not limited to confidentiality requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY


  • Basic education in reading and writing

  • Good dexterity with hands

  • Ability to use an air hose

  • Requires walking & standing for a 12-hour period, excluding scheduled break times

  • Lifting from 5 - 15 pounds required

  • Must push pin trucks loaded with yarn or empty

  • Use a push broom to sweep floors

  • Bending & using a step ladder required

  • Reaching above head with yarn in hands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Ability to move between departments to interact with others. Consistent daily attendance required; occasional off-shift support and limited travel required.
