An established acute care medical center located just outside of the Greater Boston region is currently searching for an experienced Acute Care Social Worker to join their award-winning healthcare team.

This acute care medical center is home to nearly 150-beds and provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services. This state-of-the-art medical facility is equipped to offer a variety of services including emergency and urgent care, primary care, perioperative services, oncology, pediatrics, and women’s health services. The Acute Care Social Worker will work within a multidisciplinary group of patients, families, legal representatives, case managers, physicians, and internal teams. The Acute Care Social Worker will be accountable for evaluating, organizing, and facilitating of patient progression through the continuum of care.  The Acute Care Social Worker will work in coordination with doctors, nurses, home health companies, and other healthcare professionals and agencies.

The Acute Care Social Worker must have a minimum of 3-5 years of social work experience working in an inpatient acute care hospital setting. The Acute Care Social Worker must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program of Social Work with current Massachusetts’s state licensure are LCSW or LICSW.
