Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, the Vice President, Channel Marketing will contribute to our continued success and help expand Mission Square’s client base. The Vice President, Channel Marketing will partner with the Sales and Relationship Management heads (Institutional, Retail, Consultant Relations, Client Relationship Management) to understand and quantify MissionSquare’s marketing opportunities and create channel-specific engagement strategies to support sales, acquire new clients and drive retention and growth.

Essential Functions for this role include:


  • Lead and implement channel specific marketing programs in support of enterprise initiatives

  • Lead the development of campaigns, marketing materials, events, and communications to engage and educate prospective and current clients regarding MissionSquare Retirement’s retirement products and services (recordkeeping, investment advice, financial education, and planning).

  • Select and implement data driven multichannel programs, to drive opportunities for sales, raise our profile and help improve sales performance, as well as provide leadership to the following marketing functions: 

    • Investment Product Marketing– the development of plan sponsor, consultant, and participant focused communications to promote strategies to reach and engage opportunity segments.

    • Sales Enablement– the provision of technology, data, and analysis to enable market segmentation, territory alignment, and the prioritization and measurement of channel marketing activity and results.

    • Campaign Execution – the design, execution and measurement of outcome-focused marketing and communications campaigns to promote MissionSquare services (managed account platforms, financial wellness, onboarding programs and education to institutional and retail clients).



  • Manages a team of channel marketing and segment managers to support clients in state/local government as well as education, healthcare and not for profit sectors.

  • Serve as a senior member of the marketing team, with peers leading marketing operations, brand and messaging, research, digital and corporate communications.

If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:


  • 15+ years of relevant work experience as a strategic product and channel marketing leader in financial services, emphasis on wealth management, retirement marketing in the investment management space

  • Understanding of the dynamics of the public sector, 457 and 403b recordkeeping and fund distribution, financial advice marketplace and its participants – their business practices and decision-making processes

  • Demonstrated expertise B to B investment product and channel marketing focused on marketing retirement investment products to government and institutional clients

  • Confident and collaborative developer of marketing campaigns and messaging for plan sponsors and participants in the public sector.

  • Exceptional planning, team management, and communication skills

  • Experienced working against firm deadlines

  • Detail-oriented to ensure polished client communications

  • Ability to collaborate with peers, and lead a team to manage multi-channel programs and content development targeting institutional, consultant and participant client segments.

  • Proven success in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment that values thoughtful strategy, high-quality execution, and continual improvement.

  • Demonstrated strategic leadership and creativity

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Marketo, Investment product marketing, lead scoring and performance management

  • Experience working in a regulated environment
