We are currently seekinga Tax Manager for our Corporate Headquarters Office based in Hollywood, Florida. This position reports directly to HEICO's Senior Tax Director. In this position, the Tax Manager will likely:
Review estimated federal and multi-state corporate income tax payment calculations
Prepare and review quarterly and year-end worldwide tax provision workpapers under ASC 740, including account reconciliations and roll-forwards
Review HEICO federal and state corporate and partnership income tax returns prepared by an outside CPA firm and reconcile to the financial statements.
Prepare and review various tax returns, tax reports and related work papers due quarterly and/or annually
Analyze and review company multi-state nexus positions and filing requirements
Manage and facilitate federal and state income tax audits, as well as respond to tax notices
Assist with M&A tax due diligence of operations in U.S. and foreign, including analysis of prospective acquisitions and research of potential impact on legal structure and tax elections
Conduct tax research on complex federal, state & local, and foreign tax issues and provide comprehensive analysis and conclusion of their impacts on HEICO
Perform other special projects that may involve working with external tax advisor as well as with the Corporate Finance Department and/or the local subsidiary Controllers
Requirements/Experience:
Master's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field
CPA license required
Minimum of six to eight years of progressive experience in tax, with at least one year as a Manager
Experience in multi-state taxation preferred
Experience in preparing and/or reviewing ASC 740 tax provision is a plus
Experience with OneSource tax provision software is a plus
Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills as well as decision-making skills
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with subsidiary controllers and employees of all levels, including senior management
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment
Highly responsive to customer requirements, with a high attention for detail and accuracy
Strong Excel skills; able to manipulate high volumes of data
Strong work ethic (willingness to work hard and long hours, when needed)
