Job Description:

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer at our Andover, MA location.

Work as part of a small team of experienced developers building the next generation environmental monitoring solutions.

If you are a strong, creative and collaborative software engineer, this is the role for you! You'll work closely with other software and quality engineers, key stakeholders and product management in the Schneider Electric organization to ensure that we create exceptional and unified experiences for our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Design, code, debug and unit test new features, enhancements and defect fixes for our next generation NetBotz products
• Occasional maintainenance of legacy NetBotz software
• Collaborate with other team members in an agile scrum environment

• Expert programming skills in Java (J2SE) technologies
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, RESTful APIs, Jetty
• Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc. is required
• Strong knowledge with the C programming language within the Linux environment is required
• Expert knowledge of Linux, including familiarity with UNIX system calls, and low-level O/S, storage and networking protocols (TCP/IP)
• Effective troubleshooting skills across hardware, O/S, and network
• Proficient with Bash shell scripting
• Experience with network management concepts and protocols (SNMP) is not required but desired
• Experience with Git source code control is not required but desired
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• BA/BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computing Science or equivalent experience
