Summary Objective


The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for leading the housekeeping team to achieve daily cleanliness and sanitation standards that exceed member and guest expectations. The Housekeeping Supervisor will interact positively with prospects, members, guests, and staff to ensure a positive experience.


Essential Functions:



  • Deliver the Ultimate Fitness Experience to every member, every time

  • Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of all club areas 

  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage housekeeping staff

  • Assist in day-to-day club operations as member of management team

Job Responsibilities: 



  • Inspect all areas of the club daily to assure cleanliness and housekeeping staff accountability

  • Create and implement housekeeping schedule following US Fitness operating standards

  • Assist and eliminate communication or language barriers, verbal and written

  • Maintain weekly inventory of supplies and submit purchase for approval in a timely manner

  • Maintain laundry room and resolve issues to avoid interruption of laundry services

  • Ensure all safety equipment is working properly and in keeping with OSHA and US Fitness standards

  • Perform  daily, weekly and monthly inspections with General Manager, improving processes as needed

  • Conduct emergency action drills with staff

  • Prepare and submit department payroll information on time and accurately

  • Track payroll and expenses against established budgets

  • Respond to any member or guest concerns or comments within 48 hours

  • Keep housekeeping staff files up to date

  • Understand and model employee standards of conduct and ethics

  • Uphold club building, facilities, service, program, and emergency procedures

  • Act as Manager On Duty when required

  • Assume other duties as assigned

  • Work early morning, evening, and weekend hours as necessary

Required Experience, Education & Certifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Current CPR/AED Certification required

  • Six months managing housekeeping or cleaning staff preferred

  • Conversational knowledge of a non-English second language preferred

  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operates machines, such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach; performs mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.

  • The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.

  • The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
