Your Responsibilities

As a Schedule Planner for our Primary Division at Horicon Works located in Horicon, WI, you will:


  • Plan and schedule multiple manufacturing work centers of all current production and service parts to meet internal and inter-factory business needs.
  • Schedule requirements for material with regard to the Deere Production System including kanbans/triggers, delivery and achievement of the production schedule.
  • Provide Supervision to a small wage team of Material Handlers to support the Primary Division.
  • Responsible for on-boarding, training, development and direct supervision of full-time and seasonal employees.
  • Directs departmental continuous improvement plans and activities.

What Skills You Need


  • 2 or more years of SAP experience.
  • 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of manufacturing databases and inputs, such as performing more complex functions, understanding principles, may teach others.
  • Knowledge of kanban and other delivery methods, and has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
  • Expert or Advanced level experience in Excel (running and creating complex formulas, pivot tables, and charts).
  • Capacity Planning and accurate Analysis capability to accommodate schedule fluctuation and machine repairs as needed.
  • This position will require off- shift and weekend support.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.

What Makes You Stand Out


  • 1 or more years of Supervision experience in a Union environment.
  • Thorough understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
  • Self-driver to identify and lead innovative strategies for improvement of existing processes.
  • Understanding of bills of material, and has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or other relevant discipline or equivalent related work experience.
