LeachGarner is looking to hire a Security Shift Manager for the day shift. The Security Shift Manager will lead a team of Officers who are responsible for security of the facility and its employees from internal and external theft and threats of violence. Candidates should be skilled in all phases of security management including risk assessment, appropriate confrontation of noncompliance with established standards and addressing conflict appropriately. In this role you will manage start of shift planning, performance tracking measurement and reporting, plus train, coach, and develop Officers at all levels. Shift Managers will conduct staffing administration plus other responsibilities including;
Maintain security and safety of the facility, personnel, and assets
Maintain awareness of threat potential and mitigation protocol
Sound alarms as required (police in case of unauthorized persons present and fire department for fire and related hazards)
Highly knowledgeable regarding alarm systems, codes and mode of response
Warn violators of rule infractions
Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
Process departing personnel to protect against theft of company property
Watch for, mitigate and report irregular or unusual conditions that may create security or safety hazards
Write procedures and standard work documents in accordance with established protocols and under supervision of Senior Security Manager
Manage daily operations with a high degree of independence and personal accountability
Take responsibility for all shift activities with minimal direct involvement of the Senior Security Manager
Working with Senior Security Manager, develop performance standards and manage Officer compliance to standards
Perform HR administrative tasks for his/her shift including but not limited to Performance Management, feedback and coaching, attendance, vacation policy administration, discipline (in consultation with Senior Security Manager, and HR)
Independently takes charge and resolve conflict situations using de-escalation protocols
Qualifications and Experience Required:
High school diploma or GED
Must possess one or more of the following:
Four years of active duty military, military reserves, or National Guard
Associate degree in Law, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, or related field
Minimum of five years of verifiable and successful security experience
Must be able to pass any federal or state required training or other qualifications for licensing
Experience in manufacturing a plus
Lean experience a plus
Superior integrity in all situations
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a leading member of a high functioning security team
Proficiency in operating security equipment to include CCTV, X-Ray machines, and hand scanners and capable of troubleshooting security equipment
Demonstrated ability to lead investigations, interview as required and write high quality reports
Experienced in identifying physical and interpersonal threats with demonstrated ability to de-escalate if possible, contain if necessary
Ability to read, write and speak English; Multilingual a plus
Exceptional oral communication ability on all modes of communication: radio, telephone, in person
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Solid skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Skilled at presenting original, independent analysis and reports to senior management
Attention to detail
Executive presence

Must be legally eligible to work in the US
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have access to reliable transportation
Must pass drug screen and background check
Ability to stand, walk or run as needed to maintain security and safety of the facility, personnel, and assets
Must be able to walk up and down stairs
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
