Job Description:

POSITION CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD


Position Purpose


Acts as the On-site lead, manager and administrator for the maintenance support effort in support of CH-53E maintenance operations. Provides oversight of all personnel assigned to the Program. Oversees maintenance activities ensuring key performance indicators and contract deliverables are met with the highest levels of safety and quality of service.


Duties & Responsibilities



  • Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues, including coordination of activities related to the project.

  • Provides planning, administrative, budgetary oversight of program.

  • Oversees all assigned personnel and program/project operations.

  • Develops procedures, planning and directs the execution of the technical, programming, maintenance, and administrative support efforts.

  • Creates, implements, and manages detailed program/project plans to facilitate and support the project strategy and execution phases.

  • Monitors and reports on progress.

  • Responsible for employee performance management, including employee development, coaching, mentoring and discipline.

  • Assists in screening all employee candidates to ensure adequate qualifications are met before offers are extended.

  • Identifies and assesses project issues and develops recommended solutions.

  • Ensures work is performed safely within budgeted time and while remaining in regulatory compliance and meeting customer and company guidelines.

  • Participate in the proposal process in response to new business inquiries.

  • Other duties as assigned or required.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline or 21 years total aviation maintenance experience.

  • A minimum of twelve (12) years' experience in the aviation maintenance field. At least six (6) years' experience in a management/supervisory position.

  • Strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical aircraft knowledge. Must have a strong mechanical aptitude to offer technical direction in all maintenance areas.

  • Extensive knowledge of the NAVAIRINST 3710.1G/DCMA INST 8210.1C and CNAFINST 4790.2.

  • Knowledge of basic supply procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of the contracted effort, that include responsibility for assigning program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts.

  • Good understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, budget management, as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.

  • Possess: (1) the ability to initiate, plan and manage projects; (2) the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a wide range of issues; (3) strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and, (4) the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Experience using Microsoft Project desired, but not required.

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) desired, but not required.

  • Experience using Deltek Costpoint desired, but not required.
