GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Finance Lead is responsible for being the business partner to the Director of Sales for one of Luxor's BUs, and the COO in a rapidly growing company. They will interact closely with Luxor's management team and Controller. The Luxor work environment is fast paced and team oriented; there will be a strong emphasis placed on business partnering, reporting, financial analysis, and project management for this role. The role will lead monthly reporting, analysis, and commentary, as well as the development of the annual budget and Long-Range Plan for one of Luxor's BUs along with Operations. This is a highly collaborative position both within Finance and cross-functionally (Sales & Marketing, Procurement, and Operations). This position provides comprehensive financial support to drive profitable growth and cost savings; assures all accounting transactions are posting to the correct general ledger accounts and oversee all inventory accounting, costing and reconciliation. Additionally, the role performs account reconciliations and follow through on corrections and processes to assure errors do not repeat.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

Functional Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead month-end close procedures and record journal entries for one of Luxor's BUs and the Operations group.

  • Analyze monthly financial statement variances, identify/resolve issues and prepare monthly commentary.

  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to identify risks & opportunities and developing contingency plans to deliver budget commitments.

  • Prepare analysis of Operations/Warehouse spending (ROI) and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Operations.

  • Provide financial modeling to support internal decision making.

  • Manage functional expenses and prepare account reconciliations.

  • Manage inventory accounting and reconciliation for multiple warehouse locations.

  • Work with department leaders to prepare, analyze and develop detailed, in-depth reporting as needed.

  • Participate in project teams in support of new product launches, product changes and cost savings initiatives by developing financial models and financial analysis.

  • Establish metrics (KPIs) for operational initiatives, develop data presentation format, and report to Controller monthly.

  • Additional special projects and ad hoc analysis.

  • Assure company and GAAP standards are applied and adhered to.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Work experience:

  • Minimum 5 years Finance/accounting experience

  • Minimum 2 years leading the month end close process, and partnering to drive P&L improvements for a business unit.

  • Familiarity with importing and landed cost

  • Education experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting of Finance

  • CPA preferred

Computer equipment and level of software requirements:


  • ERP system experience required, SAP and/or NetSuite preferred

  • Exceptional Excel skills beyond pivot tables and V-lookups

  • Microsoft Office suite

  • Crystal Reports preferred

  • Multiple outcome scenario analysis

Specific Knowledge, licenses, certifications REQUIRED:


  • CPA, or equivalent demonstrated work experience preferred

  • Strong GAAP knowledge
