Cook Children's Medical Center is looking for a Nurse Manager for our Hematology/Oncology clinic who has the ability to articulate a compelling, actionable vision for the unit/department. You will facilitate teamwork and unit pride by advocating for an environment that promotes high patient care standards and implements strategies to ensure physician satisfaction. Your time as a manager will include 50% of your time on your designated shift, which is the day shift.
As the Nurse Manager, you have the authority, accountability, and responsibility for the management of patient care within their respective areas. The areas of responsibility under your control will include:
You will be expected to demonstrate sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities that take into consideration evidence-based practice. You also will have a thorough understanding, and the ability to monitor, the financial performance of the Hematology/Oncology inpatient unit.
