Dispatcher – Aerial Lifts & Telehandlers


Milwaukee, WI 


Position Summary


Dawes Rigging and Crane Rental, Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher for Aerial Lifts and Telehandlers in our rental fleet. This is a full-time, exempt position with comprehensive Benefits. Prefer local candidates or those willing to relocate.


Essential Functions



  • Take customer phone calls and answer customer emails

  • Plan the schedules for three (3) truck drivers

  • Keep records, logs, and schedules of calls made and/or received, the vehicles and equipment monitored and controlled, and actions taken

  • Obtain required lease agreements and insurance verification

  • Assist in setting up new customers

  • Invoice daily, weekly and monthly rentals

  • Track the Milwaukee equipment fleet

  • Work with other dispatchers and sales representatives as required

  • Dispatcher will also assist in other activities and duties as assigned by the Aerial Manager

Skills and Experience Requirements



  • Strong organizational skills

  • Experience in trucking and dispatch functions is a plus, but not required

  • Customer service oriented with the ability to interact well with customers, sales force and fellow employees

  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines

  • Must be able to work at least 40 hours a week and overtime as needed

  • Able to sit for longs periods of time

  • Able to use phone, computer and other office equipment
