The Administrative Assistant – Construction performs tactical administrative support for the Director of Construction and their team. The Administrative Assistant – Construction works on assignments that are complex in nature and require considerable judgment, absolute confidentiality, and initiative and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or recommend solutions. Work is completed with minimal supervision and assignments may be completed without established procedures.

What You’ll do as an Administrative Assistant:



  • Provide support to internal and external customers, responding to inquiries and reporting findings

  • Maintain daily report on the status and completion of tasks completed on construction projects

  • Document meeting minutes and decisions

  • Compile data for reports and being able to produce findings

  • Participate in administrative tasks associated with the budget process

  • Prepare/edit presentations

  • Schedule appointments and meetings

  • Write instructions and communications for internal memos

  • Ability to multitask, change priorities quickly and manage time effectively

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

You’ll be a Great Fit if You Have:



  • High School Diploma/GED required, College level education highly preferred

  • 3+ years of general administrative experience, or equivalent combination of experience and college level education

  • Maverik store knowledge and experience a plus

  • Attention to detail

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Proficient with technology, with ability to learn quickly

  • High level of good judgment and initiative, creativity, flexibility, and responsibility with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. Absolute commitment to confidentiality

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Organizational systems, tools, and methods: Applies planning and productivity tools/processes to manage work

  • Priority setting/time management: Demonstrates time management sensibilities when scheduling, allocating and prioritizing commitments

  • Thorough knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment

  • Ability to communicate and interact with all departments
