Customer Service Representative - Bilingual helpful at Cash-Wa Distributing

Job Description:

If you like to helping customers, not afraid of suggestive selling, and can problem solve, this may be a fit for you! We are a food distribution company working with a variety of clients in a multi-state area. As a phone-based CSR, you will focus on assisting customers with a range of questions such as product questions, placing orders, assisting with processing credits, helping with identifying delivery dates/times for their location, answering billing questions, and even making outbound calls to existing customers to assist the Outside Sales team.  Excellent customer service, phone, and computer skills are essential. 

Standard work hours are 8am-5pm, with occasional Sunday hours. The potential for some flexibility on the start/end time can be considered.  Working until 6pm one night per week to accommodate customers in other time zones may be needed at times, and may work some holidays as needed.

Job Duties:


  • Take incoming customer calls in a professional manner that portrays the company as friendly and helpful

  • Research questions regarding credits and ensuring they are accurately logged and processed

  • Look into missing items from an order, conferring with other departments on it

  • Assisting with the plan to get them what they need in a timely manner, reviewing routes and delivery schedules

  • Assist in billing questions, asking the right questions to forward to the appropriate contact person for their situation

  • Gain product knowledge to better assist customers and be able to suggest products

  • Become familiar with assigned Multi-Unit accounts, regularly reviewing orders and identifying potential issues

  • Make outside calls as needed to assist the Outside Sales team

  • Be proficient and accurate with the order systems

  • Other duties as assigned including occasionally covering the front desk for lunches and time off

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:


  • Customer service orientation is required

  • Communicate effectively and professionally via phone and email required

  • Strong computer skills are essential:  Outlook/Excel/Word familiarity is desirable.

  • Attention to detail and being process oriented is essential

  • Perform duties and stay on track with minimal direction

 

Education & Experience:


  • High school degree required, advanced education is preferred

  • 2 years of administrative or sales experience is desired
