Network Systems Operations Specialist - Bash, Python Scripting

Job Description:

HPE has an opening for a motivated and skilled Network/System Operations Engineer with strong scripting background in python, bash etc. Experience in hardware/software troubleshooting, configuration, and continuous testing of our Slingshot testbeds. The network management stack will support the full range of High-Performance Computing products.

How You'll Make Your Mark:

• Operations and administration of larger HPC clusters




• Setup and maintain ongoing development builds to integration infrastructure systems




• Maintain running environments end to end. Ideally background and experience in HPC – MPI, slurm




• Documentation, automation and guidance for usage and participate in contributing in defining and meeting quality gates




• Well-rounded skills in  system management, operating systems Linux, scripts




• Backup and restore




• Recover from failures 




• System monitoring/reporting

About You:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.




• 7+ year work experience, preferably in security related product.




• Strong Bash/Python Scripting




• Strong experience reading and writing test scripts




• Customer-focused (both internal and external to the company).




• Work experience in various package and firmware signing.




• Package management software (rpm, deb, yum, zypper, apt)




• Linux network operations and system administration experience




• Baseboard management controller experience




• Work experience in UEFI Secure Boot in ARM processor is plus.




• Work experience in network switch port authentication such as 802.1x EAP and NEAP is preferable.




• Work experience in RBAC and REST API is preferable.




• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.




• Able to produce security assessments of applications and infrastructure.




• Ability to generate security metrics and reporting on incidents and effectiveness of controls.




• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.




• Experience with Agile, Scrum a plus.
