Responsibilities

Position Summary:
Dematic has an immediate opening for a Shipping / Receiving Clerk in our Holland, MI  and Grand Rapid, MI facilities. Shipping/Receiving is responsible for handling warehouse operation activities, including shipping and receiving, (Domestic/International) coordinating stock, maintaining records, (Bill of Lading/Packing List) and overseeing storage of surplus inventory and property.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate all shipping and receiving activities

  • Inspection of all incoming parts

  • Daily cycle counting and investigation of discrepancies

  • Inventory transfers within our ERP system

  • Creation of Nonconforming Material Reports when vendor parts do not pass inspection

  • Kitting Production orders for the manufacturing floor

  • Collection of parts for customer installation projects

  • Ensure all products are properly packaged and ready for shipment

  • Maintain accurate manual and computer records

  • Handling and documenting storage and transportation of hazardous materials


Qualifications

Education:
Typically High School diploma. Forklift Certification is strongly preferred.

Knowledge & Experience


  • 5-8 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment

  • Ability to execute detailed oral and written instructions

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience working with SAP or MRP system

Direction of Others:
May provide general guidance or train lower level support staff.

Key Working Relationships:
Primarily intra-organizational contacts and some external contacts.
