• Maintains a high level of expertise and knowledge of the requirements of the various laws, regulations and rulings governing the Bank's activities. Keeps abreast of regulatory updates through reading, classes, seminars, etc.


• Demonstrates creative thinking and problem solving:  *  Offers innovative solutions.*  Identifies areas for improvement and offers viable solutions.


• Reviews Bank forms, contracts and disclosures to meet the needs of the Bank and comply with applicable consumer compliance laws, rules and regulations. Reviews proposed changes to and existing Bank policies and procedures relative to the compliance requirements of laws and regulations. Ensures the accuracy of all compliance-related requirements for Bank products.

Conducts and Oversees Compliance Reviews:

• Initiates program enhancements to adjust for changes in products, services, etc.


• Assists manager with program oversight and development.


• Analyzes and identifies trends in test results and communicates business impact to Compliance Management.


• Prepares documents which provide an adequate level of support for the audit work performed, conclusions reached and compliance-related issues. Drafts audit documents in a pertinent, concise and accurate manner.


• Obtains and evaluates responses to audit issues to ensure appropriate corrective action is taken.


• Ensures corrective action was taken.

• Reports results to management.


• Trains new Compliance staff and assists in training Bank staff on compliance regulations as needed.


• Responsible for review of workpapers and draft reports to ensure accuracy of audit results.


• Reviews marketing materials to assure compliance.


• Exhibits superior time management skills (measured by deadlines and quality of progress and projects completed). Maintains confidentiality of information and protects Bank sensitive information and materials.


• Develops and maintains rapport with the staff and management in order to effectively obtain and communicate compliance information


• Volunteers for project work. Handles other duties as assigned. Participates on projects, audits, exams etc. Assists with multiple primary or significant Compliance functions.

• 3-5 years banking and/or banking compliance


• Bachelors degree or equivalent
