Our May Center Schools for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, and our May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders offer full-day, year-round educational services to children and adolescents.

Our schools focus on building communication, social, behavioral, vocational, and academic skills. We base our programs on applied behavior analysis, or ABA, which has been shown through hundreds of scientific studies to be the most effective method to teach children and adolescents with autism and other developmental disabilities.

The May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders successfully educates students with
complex needs and co-occurring diagnoses. These young people often require a combination of physical, medical, cognitive and social/behavioral therapies in an environment that supports skill development and rehabilitation.

Our caring professionals help each child to reach his or her highest potential.





The Director of Clinical Services and Training will provide clinical support and training to May Institute's Adult Day and Residential Programs. The primary function, under the direction of the Divisional Director of Adult Clinical Services and Training, is to provide consultation and training to adult service clinicians and train personnel responsible for executing initiatives outlined in the strategic plan.






QUALIFICATIONS:




  • Master's degree in behavior analysis, special education, psychology, or related field. Doctoral degree preferred.


  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience providing services to students in different environments.


  • Credentialed by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).






ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Provides input, training, and/or resources, as requested, to clinical, residential or day program teams serving clients with complex behavioral or skill acquisition needs.


  • Assists in implementing behavioral services and supports and providing appropriate behavioral strategies.


  • Develops, manages, and evaluates systems appropriate for each center to ensure staff proficiency in implementing effective ABA- based educational and clinical methods.


  • This position may also require direct contact with individuals-served to teach best practice competencies with adult learners across a variety of disorders and those with significant challenging behaviors.


  • They will be required to implement physical management procedures as needed, using Safety Care approved interventions.


  • Travel required to different locations within the division. Mostly eastern Massachusetts to include north and south of the city and the Cape. Zoom and other online meetings tools will be utilized to minimize lengthy travel.
