Convention Services Manager- Full time (Lake Tahoe) at Caesars Entertainment

Job Description:

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Receives group bookings from the Sales Department Staff and creates prospectus as needed.

• Develops rapport with group representative that allows for creative input and customer assurance, resulting in a successful program and potential repeat business.

• Counsels and assists group contact with the overall planning of the group program.

• Suggests and plans menus and other services appropriate to each group.

• Coordinates group program with related Harrah's/Harveys Departments to ensure a successful program and potential repeat business.

• Secures details of the group's program from the Client on a timely basis, including, but not limited to room, food and beverage requirements.

• Responsible for securing payment for program: Prepayment and/or Direct Billing

• Review for client understanding of attrition

• Oversee hotel rooms to include

• Securing group registrant list to confirm group coding

• Receiving/Verifying Group Rooming list

• Develops a rapport with each group contact that allows for creative input and high customer assurance levels.

• Directly responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of information being distributed on the Master Prospectus.

• Initiates and is held accountable for the distribution of all revisions to the prospectus as needed.

• Maintains all pertinent information for group function Sales files within the Delphi System. Utilizes communication vehicles i.e., the Delphi system for updating and maintaining accurate information for each program for Sales and Group Services staff, e-mail for communicating with in-house departments, etc.

• Schedules Convention space according to customer requirements, space availability and seating requirements.

• Verifies function space as outlined on Sales contract and as requested by Client in the Delphi System in a timely manner.

• Coordinates with the Catering/Banquet Management Team to provide maximum levels of customer assurance and satisfaction. In coordination with the Catering/Banquet Team, ensures that Harrah's/Harveys receptions, banquets, and meetings are set up as requested and are in accordance with items contracted by customer, in accordance with group prospectus and are set up in a timely manner.

• Attends group functions and communicates with group representative as needed.

• Closes Sales files within five calendar days of group's departure.

• In conjunction with the Catering/Banquet Management Team, investigates all group customer complaints and comments, following up with related department and/or taking immediate action to resolve the matter to the customers' satisfaction.

• Maintains the required confidential nature of certain material being handled.

• Attend weekly Banquet Meeting to review Banquet Event Orders and change

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• College Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, or equivalent technical training/experience in the food industry, beverage field and/or hotel industry

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Literate and fluent in English

• Excellent communication and guest service skill

• Computer literate

• Flexibility to meet the various schedules of the Special Events Center functions' need

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to handle multiple task

• Ability to make independent decisions and problem solve as required, using own discretion within established guideline

• Must have excellent guest service and organizational skill

• Above average organizational skill

• Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated busine

• Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.

• Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedure

PHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to walk, stand, sit for extended periods of time

• Ability to talk, hear, good close/far vision, differentiate between color

• Dexterity to use office equipment

• Mobility skills to move quickly and easily around noisy high volume establishment
