Job Summary


The Director of USPS Federal Civilian Region will be a forward-thinking business leader with a strong results orientation. S/He will have the desire to expand the reach of NetApp throughout the US Federal Civilian agencies in a quantitative and qualitative way. NetApp seeks a best-in-class leader with a demonstrated history of continued revenue growth selling technology products and solutions in the US Public Sector. The Director of USPS - Federal Civilian will bring the existing relationships, vision, and strategic perspective to lead NetApp to reach new programs and segments within the Federal Civilian Agencies.

You will provide direct oversight to the District Sales Managers as well as business direction to the team of sales, systems engineers, inside sales and other specialty sales teams covering the Fed Civ region. This role requires an individual that is extremely results-driven, customer-focused, technologically savvy, and skilled at building internal relationships and external partnerships. You will also be responsible for developing the strategic growth plan for NetApp across the Federal Civilian Agencies.

Essential Functions:

Develop and manage a strategic growth strategy to deliver double-digit growth

Provide tactical management oversight to Sales Managers to deliver on revenue goals on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis

Drive all pertinent issues related to sales strategy and goal attainment.

Plan and direct activities including forecasts, relationship development, customer satisfaction, marketing program development, and collateral material development and distribution.

Cultivate partner ecosystem and relationships for the Fed Civ segment

Establish short-term and long-term goals and budgets/quotas in line with corporate objectives.

Identify and qualify important Enterprise sales opportunities at the management level.

Review management plans with District Managers on a regular basis.

Communicate and personalize Corporate and USPS strategy, as it applies to your region, to employees within your Region.

Develop personnel and act as coach, mentor, and educator to Sales Representatives within your Region.

Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure departmental goals are met.

The scope of responsibility for this person includes making final decisions on administrative or operational matters ensuring achievement of company-wide objectives and ensuring that budgets and schedules meet requirements.

Interaction:

This individual must effectively work with, and influence executive-level employees within and outside of their function, and/or major customers.

The interactions of this individual require strong people skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior-level leaders regarding matters on an organizational level.

Provides leadership for the Federal Civilian Region and is an active member of the USPS leadership team.

Receives Senior Management review of objectives to determine success.


Job Requirements


5+ years experience selling IT related solutions into US Public Sector

Demonstrated ability to manage sales professionals at the first and second line levels

Demonstrated ability to manage a $100M business and grow its revenue double digits

Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills.

High-level relationship with Government customers in private and public sector at CXO level

Strong relationship-building and negotiating skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with functional peers across functions including Marketing,

Sales Operations, System Engineering, Customer Support, and Product Development.

Strong understanding of storage, IT management, and cloud technologies, and competitive offerings in the marketplace.

Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques.

An aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.

This role could be eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), Company bonus, Employee stock purchase plan, and restricted stocks (RSU's) *. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors such as location, qualifications, certifications, relevant work experience and other factors, consistent with applicable law.
