Summary:

In order to support the rapid growth and scale of Dexcom, we are seeking an experienced, highly-motivated Strategy & Integration Manager. The Strategy & Integration Manager will be responsible for driving strategic transactions through their lifecycle, including due diligence, partnership management, integration planning and program execution. The individual will lead cross-functional business development initiatives to support incubating strategic partnerships, collaborations, joint ventures, and acquisitions. The successful candidate will be a results-oriented strategic thinker who demonstrates strong internal and external relationship management skills, excellent interpersonal skills, high EQ, and the ability to influence change across a matrixed organization.

This position reports to the Director, Strategy & Integrations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage and evaluate appropriate partnerships, collaborations and M&A integrations to meet or accelerate growth of Dexcom's corporate strategy.

  • Evaluate new and emerging partners and technologies to identify and recommend potential acquisition, investment and/or license opportunities.

  • Engage cross-functionally with internal teams including Commercial, Marketing, R&D, Finance, Legal and others as needed to champion, align and advance opportunities.

  • Drive and lead cross-functional business teams to integrate strategies, processes, and or systems into the business enterprise.

  • Ensure that business impacts and timelines of initiatives are properly managed and communicated with stakeholders.

  • Track the incubation phase of new business initiatives and potential partnerships, ensuring accountability throughout the organization and successful program execution.

  • Develop reports, analytics, and assessment tools to evaluate program performance and possible new improvement opportunities.

  • Participate in early stage M&A activities; including understanding and recommending the strategic deal rationale and provide the early voice on integration planning, risks and challenges.

  • When a partnership reaches maturity, oversee transitions to long term operational and/or business owners via an integration process.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum 6+ years experience in strategy and integration roles in the medical device, pharma or digital health industries.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including capacity to comfortably interface with senior leaders.

  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and excellence in effectively managing multiple projects/priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and coordinate demands from multiple customers, both internally and with partners. Must be able to handle ambiguity well.

  • Ability to analyze complex business problems, develop supporting analysis and present in a clear and simple manner for an executive audience.

  • Comfortable in lead or support roles across a variety of projects and responsibilities, including hands-on data crunching, presentation building, and executive briefing.

  • Expertise to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, as well as the ability to function independently as appropriate.

  • Strong leadership and self-direction with high capacity for learning quickly.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 4+ years' experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or corporate development.

  • MBA preferred.

  • Experience in M&A due diligence or post-merger integration preferred.

  • Experience in the Diabetes industry and/or Digital Health preferred.

Experience and Education Requirements:


  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.

  • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience.


Workplace Type:
  • The Workplace Type for this role is High Flex. Based on the nature of your position you will be working onsite approximately 1 day per week from collaborative space and hoteling desks at our Dexcom sites. You will need to be located within commuting distance (typically 75 miles/120km) of your assigned Dexcom site.
