Job Description Summary

This position will be responsible for account- level communications strategy and leadership training development for 2,000+ C&W Services employees on a fast-paced client account providing reliability maintenance engineering services.

Job Description

The Program Manager, Employee Development & Communications is responsible for creating, delivering, and improving employee development and communication strategies and programs. This role will work closely with regional teams and senior stakeholders, to target opportunities to educate leaders and deliver communications on a broad spectrum of employee engagement priorities with a focus on delivery methods for maximum employee engagement. This position works with account and company senior leadership and will report to the Account Vice President with alignment to the Head of Marketing and Vice President of Human Resources to maintain internal alignment, company standards, systems, and initiatives. Knowledge and experience in communications, talent development and employee engagement are essential.

Location:Virtual, anywhere in the U.S.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned:


  • Lead project to build and implement a leadership development program to identify and progress employees into positions of increasing responsibility.

  • Advise and coach leadership teams on talent development, leadership training, continuous improvement processes, change management, and communications strategy.

  • Develop effective internal communications channels and content to engage and inform employees.

  • Produce clear messaging in line with C&W Services strategic plan.

  • Create, communicate and maintain employee engagement activities to continually drive positive employee experiences.

  • Drive a listening culture and build feedback mechanisms into employee engagement activities and internal communications to enable employees to have an opportunity for dialogue.

  • Build and foster relationships across business functions and locations to ensure employees at all site types are engaged and informed.

  • Gather, analyze and present key employee engagement metrics to help support the delivery of key initiatives.

  • Support other projects and strategic initiatives, as required.

Skills and Qualifications


  • 5-10 years related experience.

  • Proven success in similar roles in large and complex manufacturing or logistics industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or related field, or commensurate experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.

  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.

  • Experience with marketing automation tools.

  • Experience developing and managing employee engagement initiatives, with specific focus on leaders.

  • This position requires a high level of autonomy. Successful candidates have demonstrated ability to identify needs, solve and solution to those needs and create documentation and SOPs to support solutions with minimal supervision.

  • Approximately 25-50% travel is required.
