Job Description:

Primary Functions:

The Administrator, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services , is responsible for the high performance and effectiveness of the following programs and services at AIDHC and in surrounding Nemours Delaware Valley satellite locations: Medical Imaging (all modalities, all sites), Radiology, Clinical Laboratory, Pathology, Outpatient Specimen Collection, Blood Bank, Therapy (Occupational, Physical, Speech; inpatient and outpatient; all sites), and Audiology (inpatient and outpatient; all sites). This position will collaborate in the development of strategies, lead the implementation, and ensure the monitoring and improvement of programs, services, and processes designed to advance Nemours mission and strategic plan. The Administrator will serve as a senior leader in the hospital and practice, and as such, be highly collaborative and visible within Nemours and the communities we serve.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide senior leadership of departments through teaching, coaching, and mentoring that meets and exceeds goals and targets in the areas of quality, safety, service, process improvement, and Associate engagement.
  • Fulfill the duties, expectations, and behaviors associated with a "Lean Leader" at Nemours, role modeling our culture, principles, and methods of continuous improvement. Teach, coach, and mentor other leaders in these behaviors, methods, and tools.
  • Meet or exceed all regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements for responsible departments.
  • Meet and exceed financial performance and budgetary goals for departments, while never sacrificing quality, safety, and the service experience.
  • Provides support in the development and cascading of enterprise, site-specific and departmental goals and measures.
  • Drive the development and implementation of innovative programs and services that will elevate the delivery of the Nemours brand promise.
  • Serve as an active, collaborative, and engaged senior leader member of the hospital and practice leadership teams and other committees, task forces, and work groups in the Delaware Valley, Enterprise, and community.
  • Accept miscellaneous duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor.
  • Develop a high performing diverse and inclusive management team through a style of teaching, coaching, mentoring, while ensuring a thoughtful succession plan for key management and staff positions throughout the departments.
  • As a senior Nemours leader, demonstrate evidence of commitment to our complementary goals of creating a culture of philanthropy and community engagement.
  • An authentic commitment to the integration and success of the entire Nemours enterprise, achieved through collaboration with leaders across the system.

  • Requirements:


    • Master's degree required.
    • Master's degree in a business or health administration discipline is preferred.
    • Relevant experience in the presentation of written and oral materials, interaction with Senior Administration and Medical Staff and self-directed project completion are required.
    • Demonstrated record of progressively responsible administrative experience in a tertiary care facility, preferably pediatric or specialty
    • More than 5 years of job related experience.
    • Reputation as a change agent with high degrees of influence regardless of the reporting relationships.
    • Demonstrated success with applying performance improvement methodologies, project team facilitation
    • Proven track record of working collaboratively with physicians and executive administration
