Field Service Engineer/Technician at Bray Controls

Job Description:

If you have technical skills and an excellent customer service mentality, then the Bray Commercial Field Engineer position is perfect for you at Bray International. This technician will support our sales team, distributors and end-users of our products with technical questions and processing RMA returns related to the use of our products. You will work directly with our Warranty division and have a major impact on our customers and the relationship we maintain with them. The Bray Commercial Field Engineer will report directly to the BCD Operations Manager.


Job Responsibilities:



  • Work with internal and external customers to provide technical assistance with Bray valves, actuators, and control products.

  • Receive and process product returns and evaluations of defective valves & actuators.

  • Handle the repair of Bray valves, actuators & controls.

  • Provide field evaluations and repair Bray products as required.

  • Utilize our ERP systems to receive, stage & transfer products to other departments.

  • Modify, rebuild, setup and calibrate actuator switchboxes and positioners

  • Permanent work authorization for the USA REQUIRED

Ideal Experience/Minimum Qualifications:



  • Minimum five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience as a field technician or technical support position in the building automation and controls industry

  • Prior experience with valve actuation and/or control valves is preferred

  • Electrical and pneumatic actuator troubleshooting experience

  • Experience with Multimeter Troubleshooting of Electrical Systems

  • Ability to configure, calibrate and commission digital equipment

  • Knowledge of DDC control systems, Bacnet and Modbus networks is a plus

  • Ability to read and interpret Electrical Control and Mechanical Control Drawings

  • Ability to interpret P&ID Drawings

  • Computer skills: MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) LN, outlook, CRM and other applicable software

  • Able to Lift 50 Lbs. or less periodically

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
