Position Overview:
Citrix Search platform is the core service that our Citrix Workspace customers rely on to start their workflows and be productive. We are just getting started and our goal is to make any type of content like files, apps, tasks, messages, and links from any application sources, searchable on Citrix Workspace. We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who will work with awesome set of engineers on our team to build highly scalable distributed services and perform analytics to understand user experience to constantly improve the relevancy of the Search results for our users.

As part of the Search team, you will have the opportunity to learn designing document schema for indexing, stream processing, writing DSL for search query, query transformation, coding and complex problem-solving skills to build a fast and reliable Indexing and Search platform serving millions of customers. You will own solutions from design and execution through deployment and support, using the best available tools including Kafka, Spark, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes to help power the Citrix Search platform.

Role Responsibilities:
*Design, architect, and build highly performant, available, reliable, and distributed services to run at scale.
*Deliver changes across the tech stack
*Build solutions based on microservice design principles and repeatable processes.
*Interact with Product and other Engineering teams as necessary to address product requirements and contribute to engineering roadmap.
*Mentor, coach, and learn from your co-workers.

Basic Qualifications:
*3+ years of experience with cloud-based distributed application scaling and data processing systems.
*Experience using .NET framework, C/C++, C# or equivalent programming languages and multi-threaded software development.
*Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other container schedulers.
*The leadership skills for providing mentorship, coaching and training to other employees within job area.
*The ability to lead major/complex projects, involving delegation of work and review of work products.
*Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years software engineering experience; or Master's degree with 6 years; or PhD with 3 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Performance-focused, high-throughput, multi-tenant application development.
*Experience working in a development environment that uses CI/CD.
*Experience implementing a search platform leveraging Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Spark.
*Experience with Cloud Native Microservices application architectural design of highly scalable distributed systems.
*Experience in an Agile environment.
