About the Role

As an Investment Manager II you will manage simple to more moderately complex investment portfolios of all different types. You will partner with front line officers to provide support in security transactions, quantitative portfolio analysis, research reports, special projects and report preparation for senior investment managers.

You will handle accounts and work under senior staff for guidance. Partnering with Relationship Managers, Client Advisors, Private Bankers, Trust Officers and clients to deliver solutions based on organizational investment philosophy and customer objectives.

Each day will bring variety. You are managing client portfolios and working to maximize investment return with an acceptable level of risk. This will include completing required oversight reports on a timely and accurate basis.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will provide support and manage client portfolios.


• You will proactively communicate with existing clients and administrators about their accounts including the reporting of investment activity and performance.


• You will study research and trends in portfolio management and stay informed of developments in the capital market.


• You will consult with clients to develop investment objectives and provide guidance. You will stay abreast of the market and economy and be able to provide advice of legal and tax consequences of investment decisions.


• You'll prepare reports and presentations for your own client meetings.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business and 4-6 years' experience in portfolio management, or 9-11 years equivalent work experience.

Preferred:

Completion, or progress toward completion, of the CFA, CFP, CIMA or equivalent.
