We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Assistant/ Custodian for our Roanoke facility. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. In this role you will be responsible for cleaning offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining room and public areas. You will also assist the maintenance technician as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Keep building and property in clean and orderly condition


• Perform routine maintenance activities such as changing of lightbulbs, cleaning of roof drains, leaf and debris removal, etc.


• Perform cleaning and some maintenance duties throughout the facility inclusive of facility bathrooms


• Gather and empty trash


• Maintain inventory of and stock janitorial supplies throughout the facility inclusive of facility bathrooms


• Sweep, mop, scrub, or vacuum floors


• Clean windows, mirrors and partitions


• Clean/wipe surfaces to disinfect and sanitize against COVID-19


• Drive company vehicle to pick up parts & supplies, i.e. Sam's Club, Lowe's etc.


• Set up break room for training or other special occasions


• Help with refining


• Assist Maintenance Technician as needed


• Act as backup person for cleaning the Evaporator


• Maintain building grounds and parking areas. Depending on the season this includes but is not limited to weeding, raking, picking up leaves and trash. During the winter, this also includes clearing of now from sidewalks, ramps and stairs as well as putting down ice melt.

Requirements:

• Able to stand, walk and reach throughout shift


• High school diploma or GED


• Ability to lift 50+ pounds multiple times throughout shift with weights occasionally reaching up to 75 pounds


• Valid Driver's License required


• Must follow all safety rules and PPE requirements


• Must be able to work overtime as required
